Audio merger FAQ

How do I merge audio files online?
Drop two or more audio files onto the page (or click to browse). Reorder them as needed, optionally enable crossfade, pick an output format, and click Merge & Download. The combined file downloads to your device.
Can I combine MP3 and WAV files together?
Yes. The merger decodes each file independently so you can mix MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC and M4A in the same project. The output is a single file in whichever format you choose.
What is crossfade and when should I use it?
Crossfade smoothly transitions from the end of one track into the start of the next. It's great for DJ mixes, podcast intros that flow into a music bed, or stitching segments where you want to avoid abrupt cuts. Set the duration to 0 for hard cuts between tracks.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?
No. SnipSound's merger runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your files never leave your device.
Is there a file size or count limit?
No hard limit — the only constraint is your device's available memory. The merger decodes each file in full before stitching, so very long combined sessions on a low-memory phone may slow down. Most merges of a handful of songs complete in seconds.
Does the order of files matter?
Yes — files are concatenated in the order shown in the list. Use the up and down arrows next to each track to reorder before merging.
